Healthy Eating This Summer

Christine Luft of published a great article titled "Ways to Avoid Weight Gain this Summer". I know many people who have a very difficult time managing their weight in the summer for a number of reasons - primarily because this is the time of year when many of us go to picnics, go on vacation, attend outdoor events, etc. Personally, I have the hardest time managing my weight from Thanksgiving through New Year's day because of the temptation to eat holiday food!

Christine's article provides weight management guidelines via 9 simple instructions:
  1. Make Lighter Sides
  2. Watch What You Drink
  3. Be Active on Vacation
  4. Eat Fresh Fruit for Dessert
  5. Avoid Binging at Summer Parties
  6. Go Easy on the Burgers and Dogs
  7. Eat Grilled Veggies
  8. Beat the Heat
  9. Limit Ice Cream and Other Treats
